Perfect for seniors, the elderly and those with mobility and balance issues that make standing while showering difficult, the Vive swivel shower chair allows you to more easily transfer to and from the chair and safely bathe or shower. Made with a durable, rust-proof frame, the lightweight shower seat is height adjustable and safely supports up to 350 pounds. The swivel seat allows water to quickly drain away to prevent sliding and is framed with padded armrests for added stability. Why we know this works!

We love this shower chair because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we consider the wet twist to get your legs into the tub one of the most dangerous seconds of the whole day. Do you need a shower chair or a transfer bench? If you can step into the tub but turning on a slick surface feels risky, this swivel chair is the in-between answer: the seat rotates 90 degrees so you sit first and pivot your legs in, no twisting while standing. The lightly textured seat has drainage holes so water does not pool and cause sliding, the height adjusts, and padded armrests give you something solid to push from. This is especially important for people with balance problems, Parkinson's, hip precautions that limit twisting, or fatigue that makes standing showers unsafe. If stepping over the tub wall is not safe at all, or one leg cannot take weight, choose a Sliding Tub Transfer Bench instead so you never lift your legs over unsupported.

Not sure what you need?

An occupational therapist can assess your situation and recommend exactly what will help. Tell us what you're dealing with and we'll connect you with the right OT.
