Why we know this works!
We love this large screen magnifier because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we watch strong handheld lenses shrink until reading means decoding one letter at a time. Can't you just use an iPad to magnify instead? You can, and it is a fine way to use technology you already own, but a tablet makes it easy to tap the wrong thing and end up lost on an unfamiliar screen. The Visolux Digital XL FHD does one job: it puts print on a crisp 12 inch full HD screen at 2x to 22x, with adjustable colors and sizes, and at 2.2 pounds it still travels with you.
It suits people with moderate to advanced macular degeneration or diabetic eye disease who want strong magnification without a learning curve. If it will live on one desk anyway, consider the Vario Digital Magnifier with its larger 15.6 inch screen instead.
