Why we know this works!

We love this grab handle because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we find the single step from the garage into the house causes more falls than the whole staircase gets blamed for. How do you make one or two entry steps safer? Give the hand something solid exactly where the body needs it: this compact 6 inch handle mounts right beside the door at whatever height fits the user, so there is a firm grip for that step up or down at the garage, back door, or front door instead of grabbing the door frame or the knob. It is especially important for people with multiple sclerosis, leg weakness, or anyone who pauses and steadies themselves at a doorway threshold. It is sized for one or two steps only: for a run of two or three steps, choose the 29" Wall Mounted Railing so support continues the whole way up.

Not sure what you need?

An occupational therapist can assess your situation and recommend exactly what will help. Tell us what you're dealing with and we'll connect you with the right OT.
