Why we know this works!

We love this crescent grab bar because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we watch people lean over the tub wall to adjust the water with nothing to hold onto. Where do you need a grab bar most in the shower? Right above the faucet, because reaching for the controls is exactly when balance is most challenged, and that is where this bar is designed to mount. The curved stainless steel rail gives you several grip positions and supports up to 500 pounds, so you can steady yourself while you test the temperature instead of bracing on the wall. It is especially valuable for people with multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, or one-sided weakness after a stroke. This bar covers the faucet zone, not the step in and out of the shower: pair it with our Vertical Grab Bar at the entrance for a complete setup.
