Why we know this works!

We love these touch lights because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we are always hunting for screen free play that keeps little hands busy and little brains learning cause and effect. What should a sensory toy actually do for a toddler? It should reward action with feedback, and this one does exactly that: a touch on the mess free sealed gel surface sets off colorful lights, with 12 light up colors and 6 built in songs, so children learn that their own movement makes something happen. That press and see loop builds finger strength, visual attention, and early pre writing skills. It is especially good for toddlers working on fine motor skills and for children who benefit from extra sensory input, including kids with sensory processing differences or developmental delays. Know that it needs 3 AA batteries that are not included, and for a child who is ready to practice actual letters, the Hi-Write Pad is the next step up.
