The S’up Spoon was designed originally for one person, Grant Douglas (check the video!) It's a great way to be independent with eating despite having shaky hands from Parkinson's, essential tremors or weakness.

Why we know this works!

We love this spoon because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we meet people who quietly gave up soup and cereal because too much fell off the spoon on the way up. How do you eat with severely shaky hands? Change what the spoon has to do: the S'up Spoon has a deep bowl shaped like a mini cup, so instead of balancing food on a flat surface you simply tip it into your mouth, and the food stays put through mild or even severe shaking. Tip it further back or more vertically for extra support. It is dishwasher safe and small enough to carry to a restaurant or any social outing. It is especially freeing for people with Parkinson's disease, essential tremors, or hand weakness, and the mini size works well for petite hands and mouths. It is a spoon only, so if you also need a stabilized fork for solid foods, look at the Gyenno Bravo Twist spoon and fork combo.
