Suction Cup Grab Bar | Won't Find Them Here!

Suction Cup Grab Bar | Won't Find Them Here!

Nope we don't sell these and for very good reason. They say on the package "does not support your weight." What good is a grab bar that can't support you. You can't rely on them at all times so it's really hard to recommend something that might fail you - even though they are cost effective. Want a more in-depth look? Hear 2 experienced occupational therapists talk about this issue on the CareLab Podcast.

Why we know this works

We love being straight with you about suction cup grab bars because as occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) we have seen what happens when equipment fails at the exact moment someone needs it most. Are suction cup grab bars safe to rely on? No. The packaging itself says "does not support your weight," and a grab bar you cannot trust with your full weight during a slip is not really a grab bar. That is why we refuse to sell them, even though they are cheap and easy to install. Want the full reasoning? Hear two experienced occupational therapists talk it through on the CareLab Podcast.

Anyone who is unsteady in the bathroom, especially people with stroke, Parkinson's, or a recent joint replacement, deserves a bar that holds every single time. Choose one of our wall-mounted grab bars anchored into solid backing instead, and if you need help installing it, our Get a Contractor VGM Live at Home referral connects you with a certified professional.
