Using NexStride is a great solution for helping those with Parkinson’s overcome freezing while walking.
Nexstride has a laser that points down at the ground as a visual cue of where to step while walking. There is also a metronome that helps the user keep a steady pace while walking.
The combination of the laser and the metronome help make walking more automatic, decreasing the number of freezing episodes.
It can easily be attached to a mobility device such as a cane, walker, or walking stick and can be adjusted to meet the user's individual needs.
Using NexStride is a great way to increase independence and confidence with walking while decreasing the risk of freezing.

"I love Nexstride because it can be attached to the client's existing assistive device. The metronome and laser effectively help clients with freezing and transitions on various floor surfaces, reducing the risk of falls."
