Why we know this works!
Why we know this works!
These caregiver cards are great for communicating with a loved one who has advanced dementia or language difficulties due to stroke, head injury, or loss of hearing. The cards are composed of 6 subject categories which include activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, commands & prompts, emotions & feelings, events, and people & places. Simply show your loved one a card such as “bath” to let them know that it is time for a bath or give them the cards to let them show you “hungry” so you know that they are ready to eat.
Avoid frustration and use caregiver cards to communicate better with a loved one and make sure that their needs are being met.
