Install this lock to prevent someone with dementia from exiting without a caregiver knowing. Since it is unfamiliar and takes 2 steps to open, it can prevent one from opening the door enough to leave. Sticks on with 3M Tape or use screws included for strength and security.

This door guard lock is a great solution for securing a reinforcing swinging door. The lock can be placed on any door in the home such as the front door, back door, garage door, or balcony door. This is a perfect solution for caregivers who worry about the safety of their loved ones with dementia who may wander.

Choose the right style for your door based on the direction it swings and ensure there is at least 1/16" space between the door and the door frame so this can be properly installed.
