Two things work in your favour. Small courier shipments from the US are exempt by agreement, and equipment made to help with a disability gets its own duty free provision on top of that.

If anything is owed, your courier collects it when they deliver. We never charge it at checkout.

Canada sets thresholds for parcels arriving by courier from the United States. Here is how they break down.

Nothing owed

No duty and no tax. The parcel is released and delivered normally.

CAD $40 to $150
Tax only

No duty. Your courier collects GST or HST at delivery, and many assistive devices are zero rated anyway.

Over CAD $150
Usually still free

Duty and tax can apply, but equipment designed for disability support is eligible for relief under tariff item 9979.00.00.

Thresholds are set in Canadian dollars and your order total is converted at the border. Treat these as a guide rather than a quote, since your courier makes the final assessment.

Before you order

Some brands are US only

A handful of our suppliers ship within the United States exclusively. If an item cannot reach you, it will not offer a shipping rate when you enter a Canadian address. Everything else is available.

Prices are in US dollars

Your card issuer converts at their rate on the day you order, and may add a foreign transaction fee.

Shipping to Canada, answered

Yes. Canadian addresses can order from most of our catalog, and your order ships by courier from the United States. A small number of brands are available inside the US only, and those items will not offer a shipping rate at checkout.
Usually not. Under the Canada United States Mexico Agreement, courier shipments from the US arrive duty free and tax free under about CAD $40, and duty free with tax applied between roughly CAD $40 and CAD $150. Above CAD $150 both duty and tax can apply, though most of what we sell is eligible for relief. Your courier collects anything owed, not us.
It is a Canadian customs provision that lets goods specifically designed to assist people with disabilities enter duty free. Most of our catalog is built for exactly that purpose. If your courier contacts you about duty on a larger order, you can point them to it and they can apply it on your behalf.
Sales tax is handled at the border by your courier. Many medical and assistive devices are zero rated in Canada under the Excise Tax Act, so some items carry no GST or HST at all. Which ones qualify depends on the product, and the Canada Revenue Agency publishes the list in its Medical and Assistive Devices guidance.
Most Canadian orders arrive within one to two weeks. Customs clearance adds a few days beyond the usual transit time, and larger items can take longer.
Yes, our return policy applies. Return shipping from Canada is the customer's responsibility, and duty or tax already paid to a courier is refunded by the Canada Border Services Agency rather than by us. Reach out before shipping anything back and we will walk you through it.
