Frequently asked
Questions, answered
Who do you typically work with?
+
I work with three kinds of people: aging adults who are thinking proactively about their own future; adults living with chronic conditions who are trying to navigate a world and healthcare system that wasn't built for them; and adult children who are doing their best to support a parent while still managing their own full lives.
Do you offer telehealth or virtual services?
+
Yes! Many of my services are available virtually, so I can support families even if you aren't local to the Kansas City area.
Do you take insurance?
+
qualOT of life is a private-pay practice, which means I work directly with families rather than billing insurance. This keeps our work focused entirely on your goals — not what a plan will or won't cover.
What's the difference between what you do and a regular home health OT?
+
Home health OT is typically short-term and tied to a medical event. I function more like a private case manager — or a daughter for hire — helping families plan ahead, have hard conversations, and put the right support in place before a crisis hits.
Do I need a physician referral to work with you?
+
No referral needed. You can reach out directly and we'll start with a free 15-minute discovery call to figure out if we're a good fit.
What does a typical first step look like?
+
A free 15-minute discovery call is the best place to start, so we can find the right fit for you and your family.
