Why we know this works!
The flip-down bed rail is a great option for those who have trouble getting in or out of bed due to decreased upper/lower body strength or poor balance. It is designed to be used as a bedside support handle and a safety guard rail which will prevent someone from rolling off the bed. The bed rail can easily swing down for caregiver access to the bed for changing linens or helping a loved one get cleaned up in bed. It requires two hands to pull the pins to let the rail down. The flip-down bed rail is a perfect solution for fall prevention during the night by using the guard rail or to prevent one from getting out of the bed unknowingly due to active dreams.
